I use KDE for technical reasons, but I pretty much prefer Gnome’s settings and generally their whole UI design.

Speaking of the image, I prefer KDE’s settings. Apple’s is too dumbed down and slower to navigate.

It’s standards based and interoperable. I’m using Thunderbird on desktop and JTX board + DavX on Android. I like the freedom to chose what I want to use.

A FOSS app focusing on privacy should be released on F-droid.

Mastodon is already bigger than Lemmy. Just as Twitter was always bigger than Reddit. Long form text is always less popular. Pictures and videos are more popular than short form text, that’s why Instagram is bigger than X. We’ll see how Pixelfed grows in the coming years.

Yeah, but you can’t layer packages over MicroOS as easily. This is why Ublue has been gaining a lot of traction.

One example: the same day that Fedora 42 was released, the whole set of Ublue distros automatically shipped their updated versions, Bazzite 42 was on my PC the same day as upstream was released.
