Tried to love TW. 100% no-go. From the start, only hassles.
Pushed back to Mint where things work.

Yes, but you get that, PLUS you get Google’s invasive surveilance. Rather than using the default Andoid app to track who you talk to, they can do it with iphones.

Read the TOS. They tell you.

Google does Google stuff with your data, and shares it with any Alphabet entities they want. Which means it gets sold and traded like any other data. Sure “not your name” but data enough to 100% identify you, fore sure.
I genuinely worry about Picard Maneuver and Lady Butterfly. What of one of them got hit by a car!?
I feel seen.

I’ve used RunnerUp and it works well. F-Droid store.
Good question, I expect it would depend on the router manufacturer.
Sure, but you can at least start any observations from a clean baseline.
Rather than test, why not just get the firmware from the manufacturer’s site and flash the same firmware? Or update if there’s something new?
I’ll second an old or cheap burner phone for WhatsApp use. This job sounds like a great way to have your data leaked or stolen. Put a buffer there now.

Well, that’s certainly dystopian.
The TV is the worst device to let handle everything because it can house plenty of equipment to listen to you. Using an Amazon Fire Stick is less bad, as options go. It also helps prolong the longevity of your TV, as “sorry, our app doesnt work on this firmware” means a $30 replacement, not a $1,000 replacement. Divide the labor and use a streaming device and TV as monitor with sound.
