Hadn’t come across them. Thanks for the suggestion - will look at adding them.

Is the idea behind OuterTune to have a media player for your own downloaded music?

For MetaGer, there isn’t a free tier as far as I understand or can see. You need to pay for credits but key creation is gratis.
True… thanks for the correction - will fix that.

No, but involved different communities when creating it and some people made the move only to be told about Brave’s CEO history, then regretted it. Added the note so people can be informed one way or the other. Also, the thread linked gives an excellent opportunity for someone to get both sides of some of their controversies that have been shared with Brendan directly addressing each one in the comments.

Thanks! Will take all this feedback on board. Can see how some of the wording is confusing. I am looking at slowly introducing more information on each tool (screenshots included). For now, I try to link people as to where they can get this e.g. privacyguides
I also didn’t know about the privacytools situation. Will absolutely look more into that.

Absolutely, please go for it. Just include the links so people can find the resources easily - thanks!
And your thoughts on Qobuz?

Yeah sorry the Vivaldi was a mistake. You are correct that it is meant to be Non-EU ownership. The website covers this better and is correct

Thanks! I was least confident about the OS section and will definitely rework it. I’ll post some ideas on https://lemmy.world/c/PurchaseWithPurpose when I’ve done an update to that section. Will definitely take the above into account.
arkenfox.js
I believe it is on a similar level, but don’t quote me on that. They are both featured by privacytools and privacyguides. I’ll look to add arkenfox as that was missed.

Sorry… I’ve been so focused on the website that I forgot to include some of the feedback on the previous graphic. The website does include the profit share for them https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/

The website does that :) https://purchasewithpurpose.io/
But I agree, I’ll look to expand the infographic with this as well.

I haven’t used either directly, but the best I can offer is the category page, which does try to give some indication of this. https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/category/email/
It sort of comes down to whether you like a singular-focused email service vs a full-fledged ecosystem.
I also found Tidal had the edge in user experience. I’m wondering how Deezer competes, as that is the next one for me to try.
That is a big part why Firefox and Firefox based browsers are so heavily favoured on the website.

I hadn’t heard about the Gaza comments until now. Will be adding it to the growing list on their disclaimer page. https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/software/D5JUoM1dZysf7JJgTAWXy/
Personally, I would have them on the left column, but there is a general divide in the EU community on whether they should still be encouraged as a “lesser of two evils”. As a compromise, I have left them in with a huge disclaimer. https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/software/D5JUoM1dZysf7JJgTAWXy/
maybe
Planning on adding to the website every week so will look into that
One of my favourite finds! Their apps are also fantastic… and an obligatory fuck Audible.
Love all the recommendations - thanks for sharing those. When adding more sections, I’ll look into some of these.
