I’m having relatively good performance in 6600rx on Linux but after a while theres some sort of GPU memory leak (would be my guess) where fps halves until the game is restarted.
Tbh I’d pay money for a foss alternative here. There are smart systems in KDE and Gnome already but if it could recall exact details on free software it would be awesome.
Was really sad when found out that my Linux home pc can’t run it on 6600rx. Turns out only needed a driver update and set desktop resolution to 1080p and now everything is running nicely at 60fps.
The game is really fun though I already added couple of balance mods:
I’m on AMD 6600RX and mesa 24.x was unplayble and runs almost perfectly on 25 now. So have hope!
You’ll never win against AI haters. Nothing is perfectly accurate and even if LLMs are less accurate than average it does not diminish the use case potential.
If someone’s eats a dradly mushroom based on 1 research source then really thats just natural selection at play lol
According to whom? Distros like omv are incredibly easy and once setup basically 100% hands off and will last you for years without any proprietary shit that might break at any point after 1 year warranty expires.
So we should just throw away the entire concept of specialization and do every single thing ourselves? Pretty dumb take my dude.
Not sure if proprietary NAS tools are any easier tbh
I think the IT consumer culture is just lazy. If you don’t know how to fix your sink you’d call in a plumber but if your home server breaks ppl just sit and whine how tech is too hard rather than you know paying someone to do the job for them.
Consumer NAS devices is a lost plot point either way.
Buy a 2nd hand thinkpad or a gaming PC for basically the same price as synology tray and you’ll have not only a NAS but a full home server that’ll last you a decade and play video games as an extra.
Got the weekend booked for this. Excited just roam around and see how things have changed. Seems like it runs flawlessly on Linux too!
You can pay someone to do that for you tho it’s not any different form paying someone to verify you ina centralized way. Its really not that hard.
Even with more complex setups like mastodon servers you already see markets for this. You can get a basic managed instance for yourself for like 15$/mo - that’s basically nothing for anyone who needs to verify themselves as a brand.
Remember when it was all the hype when things just started - crazy to see it actually happen
Not same as “all tech starts out”. You’re literally typing on tech stack that didn’t start out like that. Then there’s Masotodon, fediverse, gnome, kde, linux etc. Etc. - literally almost no good software comes out of VC world statically speaking.
Nah it was not good. Domain names already do that and are accessible to all at all times with full transparency and decentralization. Bluesky is literally regressing.
Even mastodon’s verification system is better than checkmarks.
Honestly I doubt he’s even capable of active sex.
Why not? Can’t it lead to Meta breakup?
Miss the world of wildstar the most - its was a really creative theme park
Its a vc funded for profit. They have no choice.
This has been a major red flag that everyone on bsky is just ignoring.
All of it is snake oil, it’s fundamentally not possible to detect ai generated text without watermarking it first.
