However someone out there may see it and think “oh great I’ll switch to (insert another privacy invasive service here) instead.

Depends what they are, I think a fair amount of people might be in the same boat, with a few services from different tiers.
I agree that Apple, while not entirely private, is still a decent choice compared to Android. They both have their flaws though.

I suppose the legal part could stand, if they share or dispose of your Resume in an inappropriate manner in the EU or uk you could pull up GDPR or DPA and claim your information wasn’t protected
Don’t Amazon stock some things in their own warehouse?
