You piggy backed off of the topic to talk about different issues…and I didn’t see how the issues you were talking about and the topic were related.
I guess it’s not surprising that you’re reading too much into my comment, given how much you read into the topic.
I meant what I said. I didn’t say or insinuate anything about Putin.
What I’m seeing here isn’t an assessment of the issue at hand, but rather a pretext to grind an axe about different political issues.
“Reminds me of…” is doing too much heavy lifting…you skipped over the connective tissue.

If there weren’t bots…Reddit would make its own bots. Reddit dances a fine line of allowing the population to be a certain proportion of bots because they increase real engagement by picking fights with its real users, as well as creating never-ending “content” for people to read and vote on. They only ban bots when real users notice they are bots - which is less and less frequently - even though Reddit has the tools and information to ban them long before that point.
Reddit could easy eliminate almost all of them, but that would be expensive and they’d lose real users as a result.
We can absolutely blame AI for everything. The reason AI took over Reddit is because Reddit fired their human moderators in favour of AI moderation. It’s basically a vicious circle of bots learning how to avoid being banned, and auto moderation learning how they’re avoiding being banned…repeat.

Let’s be real…Reddit itself is moderated by AI.
People who moderate subs should be called “hall monitors” or something. It’s rare to find moderators who are actually moderating with impartiality, rather that being petty and taking sides. They also have tools to exploit the Reddit auto-mod system.

Yeah…I don’t really know what I’m talking about…it’s not like I make much of an effort for privacy. I’m guess it’s just my particular ISP. It’s like…the random advertising is in French…but if they know who I am it’s targeted…it’s mixed.
Interesting…all of it? I’m in Ontario but my hub/ISP is in Quebec so all my random advertising is in French.
Somehow it knows to target advertising to you in English…maybe you need to work on your privacy?
Heh. I’m in Ontario, but I guess my DNS is outta Quebec…so most of my banner/insert advertising is in French. It’s fucking awesome because I have no idea what they’re saying or advertising to me most of the time. Highly recommend.

I don’t agree that Estonia should bow to the spectre of Russian retribution, and ignore their own laws. The notion that the goalposts should be moved is a slippery slope. Sounds a lot like appeasement. It’s a little odd to use the Estonian characterization of his actions being non-violent…it’s not appropriate…given part of the issue is a paramilitary force.
I still don’t get how the Estonian situation relates to the bulk of your post.
