I only really know about this danish company. but they usually claim to be able to build a thorium reactor in a standard sized shipping container.

I may remember wrong, but IIRC they can run on the spent fuel from conventional nuclear reactors, since there’s still an incredible amount of energy left in it.

There is apparently also litterally no chance for a meltdown because it will simply shut down.

So even if we say they’re only able to produce half the amount of power that a conventional nuclear plant can do with the same footprint. It’ll still be easier to find the space for them, they’ll be better waste-wise, and also be a lot safer.

“for the people” is hard and requires work to solve some very tough problems that were put in our system many many years ago, that requires people to work to better the lives of others without seeing immidiate betterment themselves.

“fuck those other people” is a very very easy solution to a problem I may or may not have just made up.

You’ve gotta be a bit more specific, what kind of AI shit? I’ve never heard about that and it seems like a complete waste to make any sort of AI for the bios, something which 90% of users can’t even open.

I would love something like this. I would however want it to somehow also portray the nationality of the owner.

The product may be 100% grown and produced in the EU, but be 100% american owned. Maybe I’d rather the product be 90% EU produced, if I could also be sure it’s 100% EU owned.

I’ve been considering Linux for a while now, but I play games between 4 and 8 hours pr day. Is Linux and gaming still a problem or?

I think the problem with US politics is that liberal is by party design, grouped with the socialists too. Here in northern Europe, the liberal parties are usually considered our right to far-right parties, while conservatives are a bit more centrist and often without any influence.

It’s not my fault a lot of like-minded people also thought “Fuck Reddit”. If they want more liberal or conservative people on Lemmy they’re welcome as long as they follow the rules. Problem is that liberal or conservative people don’t really mind the stuff happening on Reddit, so why would they?
