Which happens to line up with the lower “historian estimates” they provide in this article…

Historians estimate that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) killed anywhere from 200 to several thousand people that day.

Unironically they probably intentionally changed their story on the governments claims because if the government claims around 200 and many historians claim around 200, then the higher estimates are less likely to be blindly trusted.

In America at least, “law enforcement” (Police, Ice, CBP) aren’t allowed to force you to enter your password, but they can just happen to hold your phone up to your finger/face to unlock it using biometrics.

They need to verify using a phone number because otherwise other people could sign up using your phone number and pretend to be you? What?

They can only sign up using your phone number if they do require a phone number. If they didn’t ask for a phone number then how would people sign up using your phone number?
