I bought tuya smart thermostats and they rotate for a second now and then (it sums up when you spend time in that room). It is annoying. Is that normal? Can I stop them from doing that? They shall only rotate when they adjust the temperature.

Do other brands behave the same?

    I guess OP is talking about smart TRVs (Thermostatic Radiator Valves).

    I’ve been thinking of installing some myself, but this is ones of the things I’ve been worried about.

    I also heard that SonOff makes some very silent ones (TRVZB).

      Yes. In a quiet room, like a bedroom, everything is loud. I’m not sure if that was better. Less often and shorter would be better

      I wouldn’t say silent, it’s very audible when they switch from 6 to 25 °C. But I don’t observe that occasional self regulating behaviour. So I don’t mind.
