After that, the fascist dictatorship restored the current one, and when democracy arrived in the 70s, only the coat of arms was changed.

Since then, a significant portion of the population associates it with fascism, the far right, and dictatorship; another portion says it should only be seen as a representation of the people; and a third portion couldn’t care less.

Regarding the language, well, we’re all speaking and understanding each other here. If you ask me, I’d prefer to use something like Esperanto, but English works too, the vast majority of Europeans, especially young people, are fluent in English.

Another important thing could be to pressure our politicians, parties, and official institutions not to have Twitter accounts. Especially institutional accounts that give an aura of legitimacy and inevitability to Twitter as a form of communication, as if there were no alternative.
